Barcelona Airport (BCN) is a major int’l destination served by most major European airlines and some American airlines, either directly, or thru code share agreements. Girona Airport (GRO) is a regional airport served by RYANAIR from many European cities. www.ryanair.com. SPANAIR began serving Girona Airport (GRO) from many cities in Spain and Europe via Madrid (MAD)in February 2007. Prices vary widely depending on dates booked. www.spanair.com Book a car rental at Barcelona Airport (BCN) or Girona Airport (GRO): From Barcelona Airport – Exit airport C32b (►Barcelona) for 2 kilometers to C31 for 2 km. to C31c for 2 km. to the highway Ronda Litoral (B-10). Proceed thru the south side of the city of Barcelona on Ronda Litoral (B10) (heading northeast along the sea) to Autopista A19/C32 North/East (►Mataro). Proceed north on A19/C32 for 46 km. to NII (N2) (►Exit Malgrat de Mar). Take NII for 1.6 km. to B682 (►Blanes/Lloret de Mar). Take B682 for 3.5 km. to GI682 (►Tossa de Mar). Take GI682 for 14 km. to Tossa de Mar (approximately 92 km., 57 miles total). To see a bit of Barcelona city, exit airport C32b to C31. Take C31/B18 (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes) straight thru the city (passing Plaza de España and Plaza Cataluña) directly onto A19 NE. Continue to Tossa de Mar as above. C25 direction Riudellots de la Selva and Cassa de la Selva (8 kilometers). Approaching Cassa de la Selva turn right on Rte. C65 and proceed for 7 km. toward Llagostera. Approaching Llagostera, watch for the Peugeot Autos building on the left. Turn right onto GI681 for 18 km. to Tossa de Mar (approximately 33 km., 20 miles total). E-mail us for a map. Walk 50 meters to the L1 Red Line Metro station. Take the Red Line Metro three stops to Arc de Trionf station (third stop). Exit the station at street level, short walk around the corner to the Estacio Nord bus station on C/.d’Ali Bei. Enter through the blue gates, go up the escalators, double back to the SARFA bus company ticket booth. From Girona Airport: Only two buses per day from Girona Airport to Tossa de Mar. E-mail for bus schedule. Only one bus per day from the city of Girona direct to Tossa de Mar at 18:30. There are buses from Girona city terminal to Lloret de Mar (next town south of Tossa de Mar) at 08:25, 11:00, 13:00, 16:15, 18:15, and 20:00 (takes :40, fare 3.60 euros). Then change to the Lloret-Tossa bus which operates every :30 (fare 1.10 euros), or taxi from Lloret to Tossa de Mar (About 15 euros). Sharing a taxi from Girona Airport direct to your hotel in Tossa de Mar is the easier, softer way (takes :30, fare about 45 euros). From Tossa de Mar Bus Terminal: Walking – GBH: Cross the street to Av. Puerto Rico. Turn left, walk 2 blks to the Golden Bahia. GHR: Take Avenida Ferran Agullo 4 blks to Avenida De La Palma. Turn right, walk 4 blks to the beach, turn left on Avenida Raimon Penyafort and walk along the sea to the Gran Hotel Reymar, approximately 12 blocks/:15. Taxi - Taxi stand in front of the Bus Terminal/Tourist Office. Fare to GH Reymar, approx. 5 euros. Trains: There is good train service from Madrid, Paris, Geneva, Zurich, and other cities throughout Europe to Girona and Barcelona. Spanair recently inaugurated flights from Madrid to Girona. |
